one at that! Let's have a roll down of what happened this week!
Monday: so we have been training or should have been training for a 5k
for the past month. Sister Halls and I would run every once in a
while, but not every single day! But in the morning we ran a 5k. It
was good, we didn't have the best times but that's okay. We ran some
errands and wrote letters. Oh and we went a looked at some shopping.
It was a fun day. Monday night we went and visited with one of our
investigators Cindy! She is so sweet and is going through a really
rough time. That night we didn't do really anything else.
Tuesday: we have been doing a lot of finding lately because we don't
really have any progressing investigators. But Tuesday night we met
with Candice, Jada, and Cynthia! They are all preparing to be
baptized.
Wednesday: we had a to do weekly planning and we also had to plan for
the baptism that was going to happen on Saturday for Jada & Cynthia.
And because of General Conference, Bishop wanted us to call members to
invite them to the baptism! Wednesday night we went to the church for
Jada's interview to be baptized! And she passed!
Thursday: I said goodbye to sister Halls for the next 24 hours. We
went on exchanges with the STL's. It's always fun. I went with Sister
McNeely! She was really fun. And we met some really nice people. We
met a guy named Larry and he was super cool. We also met a guy named
Eric, who wasn't really there when we were teaching him, but hopefully
he will come to find his Savior Jesus Christ in his life! And we also
met with Candice and Jada and Cynthia! We watched a church video
called "The Lamb of a God!" And oh man did it make me cry! If you
haven't seen it, I just invite you to watch it. I know our Heavenly
Father sent His son for us to be saved, but to see any human go
through that makes me appreciate my Savior more. I am so grateful for
Jesus Christ.
Friday: we had Zone Conference! It was a day filled with trainings and
good fun times wi my old MTC District. Yes we are all in the same
area. Not so much the same zones but that's okay! We then came back
and just went knocking and made cakes for the baptisms the next
morning.
Saturday: So we started out by going and trying to visit this family,
but they weren't there. So this whole week we have been doing baptism
things. It takes a while for fonts to be filled up. So we were trying
to get ahold of our ward mission leader this whole week, but he never
called us back or texted us. So we were super scared that the font
wasn't going to be filled up in time. So we decided to head over to
the church. When we get there there was no cars in the parking lot. So
we were really freaking out at this point. But we waited and started
setting up anyways. The ward mission leader finally showed up to start
filling up the font. And everyone soon arrived. Jada & Cynthia and
Candice arrived with one of the members. And Breanna & Brother Pierce
and another missionary was still on their way (the missionary who was
going to baptize the girls) . The baptism was suppose to start at 1,
but started around 1:15, when they arrived. All was well. Everything
turned out wonderfully. The baptism was extremely spiritual, and the
talks were fantastic. Later that night we decided to get some stress
out, by playing volleyball with the ward. Let's just say Bishop Dunn
is a super competitive guy! And it was to funny to watch. We played
the Dunn family and the ward members against us 6 missionaries. And
they won one, then we won one, and then they won another. It was a
good stress reliever and Sister Halls and I only walked away with a
few rug burns! OHHH and HAPPY 7 MONTHS! Can you believe if?? Nope
neither can I!
Sunday: Jada and Cynthia were confirmed at church! It was such a
spiritual experience. Well because of General Conference we had Fast
and Testimony meeting this Sunday! And so after the sacrament was
over, Bishop Dunn bore his testimony and invited people to share their
testimonies and he said for them to be short, so others would be able
to bear their testimonies. Well the First Lady who gets up is a
convert to the church. She was bearing her testimony and well it was
more of like a Sermon. Which you know I guess. She had really valid
points, but you could just see the bishopric sitting on the edge of
their seat. Well towards the end of her bearing her testimony she
breaks out into SONG! Yes she starts singing. Never in my life have I
ever seen that happen! It was such a crazy testimony meeting.
I know the Priesthood Authority that Jesus Christ held is back on the
earth today! I know Heavenly Father loves each of us! He is aware of
our Pains and afflictions. I am so grateful for e knowledge of the
restored gospel!
I hope you all have a fantastic week! "Keep loving. Keep trying. Keep
trusting. Keep believing. Keep growing. Heaven is cheering you on
today, tomorrow, and forever."
