The subject line wasn't there! πŸ™ˆ

Does it SUPRISE you how fast the weeks go by? It's so crazy! So last
Monday all of the missionaries emails, or at least most of them
weren't working.. So sorry if you didn't get a reply back! 😩 but our
mission president allowed us to email real quick on Thursday just to
let you all know that we were safe, so that's why you got one in the
middle of the week! But let's start out with Monday!

Monday: we woke up to more snow on the ground. I am getting quite sick
of the snow and the rain. I don't know how all the Utah folks do it.
😳 but we tried emailing from everywhere, and we still don't have a
car, but even then this Vegas girl would NOT have driven in it. I've
learned my lesson! We then went shopping with some other sisters and
after that we came home and wrote letters! It was a very chill day of
relaxing and writing letters. And our dinner appointment cancelled
because of the "BIG SNOW STORM" it was like maybe 3 inches? Haha! We
then just went and visited some of our investigators who live close
by, but it was icy and we were sliding.. So that was cool!

Tuesday: the snow started to melt just a little bit, but we still have
a little bit of snow from a month ago in big piles, that are slowly
melting. We also had Sisters Meeting down in Fredericksburg! I saw
Sister Johnsen (my trainer) it was sooo good to see her! I missed her
so much! We had some wonderful trainings on "Our Calling" and what it
means and how we can be the best missionaries out there! It was much
needed, as I have been struggling on if I should even be on a mission,
but that meeting changed me for the better! We then drove home and we
went walking some more to do some tracting, and some more walking, and
some more tracting. (My mom says I'm looking thinner, but I don't
think so) members just feed us a lot more food, because we are
walking!!!! πŸ˜©πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚  in other words Tuesday was a great day!

Wednesday: we had district meeting and it was Sister Ngosha's last
one! So we had the wonderful opportunity of hearing her sing "God Be
With You Till We Meet Again" in both Swahili and English! Let's just
say the spirit was soooooo strong! After that we came and got ready to
go to a lesson with Ann! Ann is one of the most prepared people on the
face of the earth! 🌍 her uncle is a member along with his family, and
right now she is living with them! She has two kids! And she started
meeting with missionaries (elders) before she moved in with them. The
first lesson that she met with us as sisters, she asked what she
needed to do to be baptized and when she could get baptized! A
MISSIONARIES DREAM! When people are so ready to take the name of
Christ, it makes us sooo happy! She is now preparing to be baptized on
February 27th, this Saturday! She is so ready!

Thursday: We emailed for a little bit, and Sister Ngosha worked on
stuff for going home to prepare herself for the real world! We are
some Taco Bell! And we walked home and before we even got to our
apartment building the Hermana's caught us and asked us if we wanted
to go rake leaves and a recent converts house! So we went and raked
leaves! πŸ‚ after that we went to dinner! We then went a visited a less
active named Negat, she works 2 jobs and isn't able to come to church
on Sunday because of it. It's so sad society and having people work on
Sunday's! πŸ™„ so hard.

Friday: we had another lesson with Ann! Just teaching her the
commandments, she is soooo prepared! We then came home and had lunch
and then we had Weekly planning! So fun! It's really cool to have
direction given to us to help move the work forward. Weekly planning
takes about 2 1/2 hours & sometimes you get sidetracked. πŸ™„ I always
feel bad, when that happens! But it's okay! That night nothing major
happened, but we got bikes! They don't work though! But we rode them
anyways!

Saturday: it was one for the books! We had missionary Correlation
meeting at Brother Dixons home. He lives like 1.5 miles away from us!
So we rode our bikes there. If you didn't know, Virginia is very
hilly! It's a roller coaster as to how many hills there really are!
😩but we rode our bikes anyways, we got to brother Dixons home just in
time for the meeting! During the meeting we discussed our missionary
efforts , people who are preparing to be baptized, and those who
have/are falling away! 😭 the meeting was great! So as we are going
home there is this big hill! For all of you who know Owens hill, it
was NOT as steep as that, but it was still pretty steep! I rode my
brakes down, and sister Ngosha was trying to ride hers down. Well her
brakes on her bike got stuck and so the tire stopped moving and she
fell. Let's just say she doesn't like bikes anymore! All is okay, she
just has a road rash! 😩. The rest of the day was filled with finding
and a crazy word of wisdom lesson, but it's totally okay! We ate with
the Thiele's! They are such an awesome family! That night we just went
tracting again in our apartment complex and came home pretty early due
to Sister Ngosha not being able to walk.

Sunday: what an awesome day! We had Ann come to church and some other
less actives! It was so cool! The rest of the day was filled with
knocking until dinner! Now this is where my subject line comes into
play! So the Hall couple is from Idaho/Utah! Sister Hall is a Special
Agent! And Brother Hall is a Analyticist. (Spelling) so we ate dinner
with them! I was sooo mesmerized at the fact that I was eating dinner
in a FBI Special Agents house! Crazy! She works on White Collar
Crimes! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ so cool! Well the rest of the Sunday didn't matter
because it was so cool that I was sitting in with a Special Agent!

I know that missionary work is needed to bring help to others who are
in need of a Christ centered life! Without it people would be lost! I
am so grateful for the opportunity to serve a mission and it may be
difficult, but I know I am needed! I am so grateful for the prayers,
and for the encouragement, because nobody said it was easy! Missionary
Work is hard! Not seeing your family for 18 months is hard, not seeing
friends is hard, not being able to relax is hard, MISSIONARY WORK IS
HARD! I know I am needed! I am so grateful for the faith that Joseph
Smith had in the grove of trees, for his willingness to go to the
Lord! I invite you all to go to the Lord in prayer and ask him with a
contrite spirit and a broken heart, if there is something that you
need to do!

I love you all so much! Stay strong and remember He is only a prayer away!

Road rash!

The Hall's!

Love you all!

Love,
Sister Pewtress
