Wow! What a crazy week! I just can't believe how fast time is flying.. I really don't want this transfer to end.
This week I have had sooo many emotions. Just with coming home and all the other things. It was quite rough, but I just know how important prayer and church attendance are. Ohh and reading the scriptures.
I have been feeling like I haven't done everything I was suppose to on my mission.. so i decided to ask my mission president for a blessing on Wednesday after Zone Conference. And I received one of the most spiritual acceptances ever. I know that Heavenly Father was aware of me through out this whole time on my mission, he has put me with companions who have needed my help and I was able to help them. I received an answer from my Heavenly Father that I did indeed do everything in my power to have a good mission.
I know that Satan and the adversary trick us to think that we are inadequate or that we haven't done everything. WE NEED TO PUSH HIM ASIDE! The only person who matters in the end is Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. That is it. It doesn't matter what your friends think of you, or a random person on the street. Just our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for that knowledge!
I have been able to have such strong personal revelations as I have gone to church. Church is where we can worship our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. We go to renew our covenants at baptism when we partake of the sacrament. I am so grateful for that time that we have to reflect on the past week and ask the Lord what we need to do better. But we shouldn't be just thinking about preparing right as we sing the sacrament hymn, but many days in advance. At our Zone Conference this week we talked about preparing for the sacrament and how we can better do that. My mission president gave us two talks to read in preparation for our Zone conference. (Talks below.) but this Sunday as I listened to the spirit I was able to receive so many answers as to questions that I have been pondering. Many are things that I will have to figure out when I get home in a fewweeks. As we sang the closing hymn, I personally received an answer as to what I need to do. We sang, "l'll Go Where You Want Me to Go." Sometimes our plans are not Heavenly fathers plans. I received the answer that I need to just follow the Lord's plan and everything else will work out and that I don't need to fear!
I am so grateful for answers to prayers and that my Heavenly Father knows me individually. It is truly a blessing to know that we don't need to fear, but that we need to have faith in our Savior and our Heavenly Father and the plan that he has for us. I invite you all to pray, if you have questions on what you need to do. It truly works. Take questions to church. I know that revelation to answers will come as you search diligently!
In other words!! We have met some awesome people.
- a few months ago when Sister Olson was here, we were teaching a guy named Joseph.. well a couple weeks ago I had a prompting to go and see him, and as we did he was open more to the gospel. He wants to change his life. And he is even trying his best to live the word of wisdom even more. HE EVEN CAME TO ALL 3 HOURS OF CHURCH! Wahooo! He has been multiple times, but always leaves after sacrament Meeting...so it was sooo cool! He is also on date for baptism! It was really cool because he actually asked us!
- Allie: is doing well. She has been reading the Book of Mormon a whole lot. Not sure where exactly her heart is, but we continue to invite her to draw closer to the Savior through reading the Book of Mormon.
- Claire! Wow! Claire is sooo awesome! We went through our missionary area Book of people and we found Claire. We texted her not thinking anything of it, and she ended up meeting with us and wanting to learn more. She is sooo prepared. It was sooo cool! The spirit was sooo strong. She wanted to share the message with her family and with her fiancé!
Life is great, but mission life is even better!!!!!
Keep the faith! I love you all so much!
Love,
Sister Pewtress
